Dateline 12th October 2012.

Dates have now been fixed for two expeditions next year, and planning is advanced for Edremit Bay (Turkey) but the more detailed knowledge we now have has made it clear that this expedition will have to be re-scheduled until 2014.

AZORES JULY 5th - 14th 2013

Two days fun (swimming with sharks) and five days to do the work (hopefully) that hurricane Nadine prevented in September 2012.

LEBANON SEPTEMBER 20th - OCTOBER 1st or 5th

There has never been an attempt to research and list species present in the eastern Mediterreanean. We will chum at sea to enable identification by surface observation, examine catch records, visit markets.

The shore base will be in Tyre near the Israeli border. September 20th - October 1st will be the expedition then October 1st to 5th will be optional tourism.

Places have been allocated on both the Azores and Lebanese expeditions but there are still places left and the usual SCS selection criteria will apply.

Lebanon is a conflict zone and this will be taken into account as part of the selection criteria.
