Lundy Porbeagle Update
Dateline - 5th August 2011.
Further to the last Lundy by-catch newsflash.
SCS now has reason to believe that the bycatch figure for the Porbeagles caught near Lundy is higher than was first reported. The Society understands that there were three/four groups caught, making a total of over 200 sharks. Only one shark was alive which was released and it is hoped it survived. The catch was a mix of sizes with females and males equally represented.
